CloseAEBL Stainless
A high-performance alloy renowned for its exceptional edge retention and toughness, making it a popular choice for knife blades. Developed by Uddeholm, it combines a fine grain structure with a balanced composition of carbon and chromium, providing excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance. AEBL is often compared to 440B or 13C26 steel, excelling in applications requiring a keen edge and durability.
Copper-Infused Resin
Used for knife handles combines the durability and customizability of resin with the striking visual appeal and antimicrobial properties of copper. The result is a handle that is not only strong and moisture-resistant but also uniquely patterned with metallic swirls or flakes for a high-end, artisanal look. This material is favored in custom knife-making for its blend of functionality, aesthetics, and tactile quality.
Quinn Knives' take:
The Shrike was a late-2022 model release from Cur Custom and it's quickly become one of his most popular models. The smaller overall size, coupled with a full tang and stout blade shape, allow the Shrike to fit a multitude of roles, all while maintaining a great price point. The copper-infused blue resin on this knife is very striking and gives it a nice depth. I'm a big fan of this one!
