Quinn Knives' take:
The Disaster Breacher is one tough hombre and aptly named. If the bomb fell tomorrow, you'd find cockroaches and this knife survived unscathed. To handle the abuse it's made with 3V steel, one of our favorites when it comes to hard-use, and features a reverse tanto blade shape. This gives you more steel at the tip, helping to keep it from snapping off. Past that, I couldn't pass up the vibrant blue / black colorway on this one, making it just as comfortable at the trailhead as it is at the LZ.

About CPM-3V Steel:

CPM-3V steel is a high-performance, tool-grade steel renowned for its exceptional toughness and resistance to chipping and cracking. Developed using the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process, it features a fine-grained microstructure that enhances its overall performance. With a composition that includes approximately 0.80% carbon, 7.50% chromium, 2.75% vanadium, and 1.30% molybdenum, CPM-3V achieves a unique balance of hardness, wear resistance, and impact toughness. This makes it particularly well-suited for heavy-duty applications such as knives, axes, and industrial tools that require superior durability and edge retention under demanding conditions. Despite its toughness, CPM-3V is relatively easier to sharpen than other high-end steels, making it a favored choice among professionals and enthusiasts for both outdoor and tactical gear.
