S45VN Steel:
A high-performance stainless steel developed by Crucible Industries, known for its excellent balance of hardness, toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. It features a composition that includes 1.48% carbon, 16.0% chromium, 3.0% vanadium, 2.0% molybdenum, and 0.5% niobium, enhancing its properties over its predecessor, S35VN. This makes S45VN ideal for premium knives and cutting tools, offering long-lasting sharpness, resistance to wear and corrosion, and sufficient toughness to withstand impact without chipping. Despite its high hardness, it is relatively easier to sharpen compared to other high-end steels, making it a favorite among knife enthusiasts and professionals.

The Gula Gula is a very agile knife. One of our QK staff, Melody, is a practitioner of the Libre Knife Fighting Guild and the moment she first handled a Gula Gula, she had to have one! Personally I really like the dyed Box Elder wood handle, and coupled with the great handling of this blade, it makes for a nice piece in the EDC rotation.
